Description:Understand the role of finance in business. This full-time, 16-month SFU Beedie MSc Finance program is based in downtown Vancouver. It teaches you the fundamentals of finance, asset pricing, market risk management and credit risk management.

It’s not all theory. You’ll also get the chance to be a part of the Student Investment Advisory Service (SIAS) Fund to manage an investment portfolio with a market value in excess of $20 million CAD (as of August 12, 2020), develop a personalized career plan, and secure employment opportunities.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    A four-year undergraduate degree with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0/4.33 (B) or a grade point average of at least 3.33/4.33 (B+) based on the last 60 credits of undergraduate courses from a recognized University.
    Test Scores:
    • Graduate Management Admission Test [min. 550] or Graduate Record Examination
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) or Pearson Test of English (Academic) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93]
    Application Notes : If your primary language is not English or your previous education has been conducted in a country where English is not the primary language (see a full list of accepted countries), you must demonstrate sufficient command of the English language as evidenced by achieving a satisfactory score on a standardized English test acceptable to the University.
